Our hotel is located in the middle part of Como Lake, in Plesio (600mt. height), above Menaggio and front of Bellagio. From its location is possible to easly reach the unique island of Como Lake: "Isola Comacina", just 14 km distant, and it's an excellent place to visit both Como Lake and Lugano Lake, the latter one situated in Switzerland, less then 40 minutes far from the hotel.
It is possible to carry out various hiking activities along the slopes and the rocky walls of the Grona-Bregagno mountain and to practice lot of mountain sports: biking, climbing or to go canyoning in the nearby valley. There are even lot of sports and entertainment due to the nearness to the Lake, such as swimming, sunbathing, jogging, surf, wind-surf, kite-surf or trip by boat.
Moreover there are some interesting museum and a lot of beautiful villas with wonderful flowerd gardens, such as the well-known Villa Carlotta in Griante, Villa Melzi, Villa Balbianello and others.

BY CAR:

From Milan (about 80km) take the motorway "A9 / E35" following the signs for "Como / Chiasso", take the exit on the right under the sign "Como Nord - Ultima uscita per l'Italia", then follow the signs for "Menaggio / Porlezza" and proceed along the road that runs along the lake, on the SS340, then at the exit of the tunnel located in Menaggio turn right and continue towards "Plesio". The Hotel will be locatedabout 150 meters to the right of the sign that marks the beginning of the hamlet of "Ligomena".
From Switzerland take the "Lugano Nord" exit, continue for "Gandria", cross the customs gate that marks the frontier between Switzerland-Italy and continue on the "SS340" towards "Porlezza-Menaggio"; once in Menaggio follow the signs for "Plesio". The Hotel will be located about 150 meters to the right of the sign that marks the beginning of the fraction of "Ligomena".

BY TRAIN:

From Milan it is possible to take the train that terminates in "Como", where there are two railway stations: Como San Giovanni, the main one and Como Nord Lago; From the city of Como it will then be possible to reach our structure by bus following the instructions below. BY BUS:

From Como take the "C10" bus to Menaggio / Colico, once you arrive in Menaggio, at the bus station you can make the exchange with the "C13" bus to "Plesio", you will arrive at your destination at the stop "Ligomena - Bivio per Barna".(For more information on bus lines and timetables, Click on www.asfautolinee.it/?lang=en)From Como, Bellaggio, Varenna and many other countries that overlook the lake you can easily reach the landing stage from which you can reach Menaggio by Ferry (to visit the beautiful landscapes of Lake Como.
